What a busy month. It seems to have flown by and now it is the count down to Christmas.
We started the month looking at clocks and time, we looked at a real clock watching the hands move around the dial. Then we made our own clocks with moving hands. We even made our own watches. Everyone loved playing Whats the time Mr Wolf?
Our focus colours this month were purple and orange and we had great fun colour mixing with our fingers. We used the different colours to make firework splatter pictures. To celebrate bonfire night we also made chocolate sparklers for snack and had real sparklers in the garden after school.
For remembrance we made giant poppies and poppy wreaths which we took up to church on remembrance Sunday. In the table tray this month we have been exploring different textures, playing with wood chips, leaves, shaving foam and Gloop. When we played with the polar animals we filled the tray with ice which was great fun.
In the last week of November we were very busy making our advent calendars ready for the start of December and we each made a little Christmas cake which we need to feed lots of lovely orange syrup in the weeks running up to Christmas.
The Christmas parties are all booked, this year the older children are going to the cinema to see Santa Claus 3 which we are looking forward to. And Father Christmas is hopefully going to come and visit all the little children at our party in the village hall.
