Another month flown by, this month we have been really busy with an Autumn theme. Lots of craft activities and leaf crunching walks. We visited a very kind ladies apple orchard and collected lots of cooking apples. We made mini apple pies to take home and an apple crumble for tea. We also used them to do some apple printing.
We’ve made Twiggy hedgehogs which are now hibernating in there very own cardboard box we snuggled them up with lots of leaves and newspaper to keep them warm all winter.
In the garden this month we have harvested our sweet corn plants and mini pumpkins. We made our own crafty ears of corn then made some lovely popcorn for everyone to try. The mini pumpkins came in handy at Halloween leading a path to the door for the trick or treaters.
And what Autumn theme would be complete without the dingle dangle scarecrow song.
Half term holidays also fell into the end of this month and we had a fantastic week the weather was chilly but dry and we went to the park every day to use the new swings. We also went 10 pin bowling at Hollywood bowl. At the end of the week we had our Halloween monster mash party with apple bobbing ,face painting and a monster mash music session.
November looks busy with a clocks/ time and bonfire night theme at the beginning of the month and winter animals and winter weather themes at the end of the month. I also have the Christmas parties to organise.
